D'CENT's fingerprint sensor authenticates in 0.5 seconds and stores biometric data exclusively within the EAL5+ Secure Element chip — the same certification level used in banking smartcards and government IDs, as defined by the Common Criteria Recognition Arrangement. The biometric template never leaves the device, and even the wallet's own firmware cannot access it.

The Discovery tab provides in-app access to DApps and DEXes while maintaining hardware-level signing security. Every transaction still requires fingerprint confirmation on the device screen — what D'CENT calls WYSIWYS (What You See Is What You Sign). This prevents blind signing attacks, where malware on a phone or PC alters transaction details without the user knowing.

The 25th word (passphrase) feature creates an entirely separate set of private keys from the same 24-word seed. Even with full access to the recovery phrase, an attacker cannot reach funds protected by the passphrase — because it exists only in the user's memory.

Getting a push notification is huge, because remember, hardware wallets are meant to be something where we just put the crypto on, let it sit there, and then sell it when the price goes higher. But nowadays, everybody wants the live notifications."

D'CENT has integrated Blockaid for real-time threat detection across 50+ chains, providing pre-transaction scam alerts through the Discovery browser. Price alert notifications were also recently added based on community feedback. It's worth noting that while hardware wallets significantly reduce the risk of key theft, they cannot prevent losses from user-approved malicious transactions. According to Chainalysis's 2025 Crypto Crime Report, approval-based phishing remains one of the top attack vectors — user vigilance is essential regardless of wallet type.
