DCENT Shop is based in South Korea, and some cards may be declined for international purchases. Common reasons include:

• Restrictions on corporate or business cards,
• Bank blocking overseas use, insufficient funds, or credit limit reached,
• Security system flagging the transaction as unusual,
• 3D Secure (OTP/app) authentication not completed.

If your payment fails, please try the following:

• Use a personal card,
• Enable overseas use with your bank,
• Contact your bank to approve the purchase,
• or use PayPal for faster checkout.

• Shipping charges will apply and import taxes may be imposed by your local customs office.
• These taxes are the responsibility of the customer.
• If you refuse to pay the import tax and the parcel is returned to us, the return shipping cost will be deducted from your refund.
• For U.S. orders: Your DCENT S ships directly to you with no customs delays. All duties and import taxes are already covered — the price you see at checkout is the price you pay, with no additional charges from your local customs office.

DCENT S is built with an EAL6+ grade secure chip — the same standard used in bank cards and e-passports. The key that unlocks your assets (your private key) is stored only inside this chip, which has never been connected to the internet, making it safer than an exchange or an online wallet.

If someone tries to force the card open, it locks automatically. Enter the wrong PIN too many times and it resets to factory state, erasing all data. And because the key to your assets lives only on the card — never on DCENT's servers — you keep control of your assets as long as you hold your card, no matter what happens to the company.

The DCENT S + R3covery card kit consists of two cards: the S (main) card and the R3covery card.

Everyday use is simple. You create a transaction in the DCENT app on your phone, then tap the S (main) card to the back of your phone (NFC tap) — signing completes in about 1 second. No battery, no charging cable, and no separate pairing required.

The R3covery card is a recovery-only card that safely stores your mnemonic phrase. Instead of writing down the 24-word mnemonic by hand, you simply NFC-scan the R3covery card to store the mnemonic securely. Even if you lose or damage your main card, just tap the R3covery card to your phone and restore your assets in the DCENT app in about 3 minutes. That's why it's best to keep the main card in your wallet and the R3covery card somewhere safe at home — stored separately.

No need to worry. As long as you keep the R3covery card that comes with your DCENT S stored separately, you can safely restore your assets in the DCENT app in about 3 minutes — even if you lose or damage your main card.

The key is to store the two cards in different places. Keep your DCENT S in your wallet and the R3covery card somewhere safe at home. If you lose both cards, recovery becomes difficult, so keeping them apart is the user's responsibility.
