Introduction to NEAR Protocol (NEAR)
What is NEAR Protocol Wallet?
A NEAR Wallet allows users to securely store, send, and receive NEAR tokens while providing direct access to decentralized applications built on NEAR Protocol. It supports human-readable account names, staking, and seamless Web3 onboarding with low transaction fees and near-instant finality.
NEAR Protocol Ecosystem
NEAR Protocol powers a fast-growing ecosystem of DeFi platforms, NFT marketplaces, DAOs, gaming apps, and more. It uses Nightshade sharding technology to process thousands of transactions per second with minimal fees. The Blockchain Operating System (BOS) enables developers to build frontends and backends directly on-chain, connecting users to Web3 apps across multiple blockchains. NEAR’s ecosystem also includes the Aurora EVM (Ethereum compatibility layer) and Rainbow Bridge for asset transfers between NEAR and Ethereum. This makes NEAR highly interoperable and future-ready for cross-chain innovation.
NEAR Protocol Features
- Scalable infrastructure with Nightshade sharding, enabling high throughput and low fees
- Developer- and user-friendly with human-readable accounts, fast finality, and BOS for on-chain app deployment
- Interoperability via Aurora EVM and Rainbow Bridge for seamless cross-chain experience

How does D'CENT Biometric Wallet work?
D'CENT Biometric Wallet generates and stores your private keys within the secure hardware itself. When you want to send or receive crypto, you initiate the transaction on the wallet and confirm it with your fingerprint. This two-step process ensures only you have authorized access to your crypto.
Can I delete or add fingerprints on the D'CENT Wallet?
- Deleting a Fingerprint: If you're unable to use your fingerprint, you can switch to a PIN for authorization. Once the fingerprint is deleted, you can set a PIN between 4 and 8 digits. Please note that if you have two fingerprints registered, both will be deleted simultaneously, so proceed with caution.
- Adding a Fingerprint: You can register up to two fingerprints. The added fingerprint will have the same permissions as the original one, including sending coins. Be sure to carefully consider the fingerprints you register, as they will be used for all functions.
What happens if I lose my D'CENT Biometric Wallet?
Don't panic! As long as you have your recovery phrase securely stored (separate from your wallet), you can recover your crypto on a new D'CENT Biometric Wallet. Remember, this recovery phrase is like your master key – keep it confidential!
