D'CENT Wallet Team

D'CENT is integrating Banxa, a financial technology platform that connects traditional payment rails such as cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and bank transfers to crypto. Banxa already powers the Buy button in 400+ wallets and exchanges, with D'CENT the latest addition to this growing list.

What that brings is a genuinely seamless purchase. You buy crypto directly inside your own wallet, and it settles into an account your D'CENT device controls — no exchange account to open, no withdrawal to remember, and no address to copy between apps.

TL;DR

  • Buy crypto inside D'CENT — no exchange account, no withdrawal, no address to copy between apps.
  • Pay with a card, Apple Pay or bank transfer, plus local payment methods in a number of markets.
  • Smaller purchases go through Banxa's KYC Express — no document upload, no selfie, no proof of address.
  • Self-custody is unchanged. Your private key is generated on your D'CENT device and never leaves its secure element.

What Is Banxa?

Banxa handles the part of a crypto purchase most people never think about: accepting a card or bank payment, running the identity check required in your country, converting the money, and delivering the crypto to an address you choose. In D'CENT, that address is one of your own accounts.

Operating across 180+ countries, with licences and registrations spanning North America, Europe, the UK, Latin America, the UAE and Asia-Pacific, Banxa's global licensing network, payment infrastructure and compliance capabilities support more than 400 platform integrations and 10 million users, with over US$10 billion in transaction volume processed to date.

Why Buy Inside D'CENT?

D'CENT is a self-custody hardware wallet, and that doesn't change when you use Buy. Your private key is generated on your device and stays inside its secure element. Buying through Banxa gives neither Banxa nor D'CENT control of your assets — the purchase settles to an address only your device can sign for.

What you're removing is a transfer step, not a layer of protection.

Buying on an exchange Buying inside D'CENT
Open and fund an exchange account Open the wallet you already use
Buy, then remember to withdraw Buy — it settles to your account
Copy your address between two apps No address to copy, no network to pick
Pay a withdrawal fee No withdrawal step at all
Your keys, eventually Your keys, immediately

Buy it where you intend to keep it.

What this does — and what it doesn't: self-custody removes the risk of your coins sitting in someone else's account, and removes the address-paste step that clipboard malware targets. It doesn't remove every risk. You're still responsible for your recovery phrase, and you still need to check what you sign on the device screen.

KYC Express: Where Most On-Ramps Lose People

Banxa KYC Express verification step in the D'CENT app

Identity checks are where on-ramp purchases quietly die. Someone decides to buy $150 of Bitcoin, gets asked to photograph a passport, take a selfie and upload a utility bill, and closes the app.

Banxa handles smaller purchases through KYC Express — a lighter flow that does not ask you to upload documents, take a selfie or prove your address. For most people it takes seconds rather than days. It covers purchases up to $350; above that, Banxa's standard verification applies.

This is not "no KYC". Banxa is a regulated payment provider and identity checks still apply. The difference is that a small purchase gets a proportionate check instead of the full document process.

The check should match the size of the purchase.

If you're buying a modest amount to move into self-custody — which is what most in-wallet purchases actually are — that is the difference between finishing and giving up.

Part of the XRP Alliance

Banxa joining the D'CENT XRP Alliance lineup

Banxa joins the XRP Alliance, D'CENT's campaign for the XRP ecosystem, alongside Flare, Squid and Soil.

Its role is the one nothing else covered: getting in. With Banxa you can buy XRP and RLUSD — and FLR, Flare's native token — directly into an account in D'CENT, with no exchange and no withdrawal in between, and go straight into whatever the Alliance is running.

How to Buy in D'CENT

Getting started takes only a few steps, with no separate app and no bridging:

  1. Open D'CENT and tap Buy — from the home screen, an account, or the Receive screen.
  2. Choose your asset and enter an amount.
  3. Select Banxa as your provider.
  4. Complete KYC Express.
  5. Pay by card, Apple Pay or bank transfer.

The crypto arrives in the account you selected. Nothing to withdraw, nothing to transfer — and throughout, your assets stay in your self-custody wallet.

FAQ

Do I need a Banxa account?

You complete verification through Banxa the first time you buy. There's no separate app to download and nothing to set up in advance.

What verification will I be asked for?

Smaller purchases go through Banxa's KYC Express — no document upload, no selfie, no proof of address. Purchases above $350 follow Banxa's standard verification. Requirements are set by Banxa and shown before you confirm.

Which payment methods are supported?

Cards, Apple Pay and bank transfer, plus local payment methods in some markets. Available options depend on your country and are shown before you confirm.

Where does the crypto go?

Directly to the D'CENT account you selected. D'CENT passes the receiving address to Banxa, so there's no address to copy and no withdrawal step.

Does D'CENT or Banxa hold my crypto at any point?

No. The purchase settles to an address controlled by your D'CENT device. Your private key is generated on the device and stays in its secure element.

Which assets can I buy?

At launch: BTC, ETH, XRP, RLUSD, XLM, USDT, USDC, SOL, HBAR, TRX, LINK, FLR, BNB, ADA, NEAR and DOGE — with USDT on all supported networks, USDC on Ethereum, and RLUSD on XRPL and Ethereum. The list can change, so refer to the supported token list in the app for what is currently available. Availability also depends on your region and payment method.

Is Banxa available in my country?

Banxa operates in many markets but not all of them, and available payment methods vary by region. If Banxa is unavailable where you are, Alchemy Pay and MoonPay remain available in D'CENT.

What fees apply?

Banxa's fee is shown in the app before you confirm, so you always see the total before you pay.

Is this different from Swap?

Yes. Buy converts money into crypto. Swap exchanges one crypto asset for another. Both work inside D'CENT without an exchange account.

Something went wrong with my purchase. Who do I contact?

Payment and verification are handled by Banxa, so their support team can resolve these fastest. Submit a ticket with Banxa Support and they will assist you directly. For questions about the D'CENT app or your wallet itself, contact D'CENT support.
