Odds of two identical fingerprints
DCENT launched the world's first fingerprint hardware wallet in 2018. Fingerprint authentication has been DCENT's identity from day one.
Fingerprint authentication
Fingerprints aren't just about convenience. It's the certainty that only you can approve.
0.5-second fingerprint authentication
Approve transactions instantly, no passwords
Your one-of-a-kind fingerprint
prevents key duplication
No passwords to remember,
no loss or theft worries
A hardware-made barrier
Signing happens on-chip — auto-wipe on tampering
PCs and phones can be hacked. That's why the final check must happen on the device screen.

Certified secure chip CC EAL6+
Private keys encrypted and stored offline — beyond the reach of online hacks
Signing handled on-chip, with auto-wipe on any tampering attempt
Offline private key generation
Unlike other products, keys are generated inside the hardware wallet itself
Zero exposure of private keys to external software or devices
Bluetooth connection
End-to-end encrypted communication — safe from interception
Only public data is transmitted to process transactions
Automatic firmware verification
Firmware authenticity checked every time you power on
Unauthorized software changes are impossible
Secure chip, tamper resistance, encrypted storage, fingerprint protection —
every shield that guards your assets, in one device
EAL6+ Secure Element
Built with the highest-grade secure chip (EAL6+), designed to resist physical and software attacks
Tamper-proof design
Auto-locks when chip separation or tampering is detected. Even repeated wrong PIN entries make the chip lock itself
Encrypted storage
Private keys are generated and kept encrypted inside the secure chip. Fundamentally inaccessible from the outside
Fingerprints in the same vault
X onlyYour fingerprint data lives in the same secure chip as your private keys. Not even the device software can look inside

2 a.m., crystal clear from bed.
The self-lit AMOLED display stays readable in the dark, with four brightness levels — so you can read exactly what you sign, anywhere.
Wakes when you pull it out, sleeps when you put it away.
A low-power design switches off each unused component, so the battery is ready even after weeks in a drawer.
One-Time Passphrase Wallets.
Try new services without worry. A wallet made just for the moment vanishes without a trace at power-off — your main assets are never touched.

The difference is who holds the key — the private key that unlocks your assets.
When your assets sit on an exchange, the exchange holds the key. If it gets hacked or freezes withdrawals, there is nothing you can do. With a smartphone app wallet, the key lives inside a device that is connected to the internet, where malware can reach it.
DCENT X creates that key inside a device that is cut off from the internet, and keeps it there — nowhere else. Key generation happens offline, inside the device's secure chip. A key that has never left the device gives online attackers nothing to steal.
With four layers of defense.
Secure chip (Secure Element) : Your private key is stored in isolation inside a CC EAL6+ certified secure chip — the same grade used in bank cards and e-passports.
Dedicated security OS (SecureOS™) : The device runs on an operating system DCENT built solely for hardware wallets, not a general-purpose OS. That keeps the attack surface small.
Its own screen : Right before you approve, the device shows the recipient address, the amount, and the network on its own screen — not on your PC or phone.
Fingerprint authentication : The final approval happens only with your fingerprint. Even someone holding your device cannot sign without it.
And one more thing — DCENT has had zero security breaches since launch in 2018, trusted by over 1.5 million users in more than 220 countries.
No. Your registered fingerprint is encrypted and stored only inside the secure chip of your DCENT X. It never leaves the chip — even the device's firmware cannot access it — and it is never sent to any server.
A fingerprint is a physical key that software cannot imitate. Unlike a password, it cannot be watched over your shoulder or broken by automated guessing.
In everyday use it works like this: check the address and amount on the screen, then place your finger on the sensor. Signing takes 0.5 seconds.
You can register up to two fingerprints. A second fingerprint carries exactly the same authority as the first — including sending coins — so register it carefully.
If using a fingerprint is difficult, you can switch to a PIN : delete your registered fingerprints, then set a PIN of 4 to 8 digits. Note that if you registered two fingerprints, deleting removes both together.
They are safe. Your assets live on the blockchain, not inside the device — the device is the vault that keeps the key to them.
As long as you keep the recovery method you created during initial setup, you can restore your assets on a new DCENT device. There are two ways.
24 recovery words : Write them on paper and keep it somewhere safe.
R3covery Card : Save those 24 words to the card with a single tap — no more copying them out letter by letter, and less worry about paper getting wet or fading. Available bundled with DCENT X, or purchased separately later.
What matters is keeping them in separate places : the device where you use it, the recovery method somewhere else safe at home. Keep both in one place and you could lose both at once.
That is exactly how it was designed to be used.
DCENT X powers down each part it isn't using — the screen, Bluetooth, and the fingerprint sensor are each switched off separately, like turning off the lights in rooms you are not using. While it is put away it draws very little power, and the moment you take it out, only what's needed wakes up.
If a defect occurs under normal use, it is covered by a 1-year warranty from the date of purchase, handled directly by our in-house support team.
