BitcoinCash(BCH)’s hard fork is scheduled for November 15, 2020. When a hard fork occurs, the existing BitcoinCash network will be split into two blockchains. As the hard fork progresses, an airdrop of cryptocurrency assets for the new chain may occured. BitcoinCash (BCH) holders will have new cryptocurrency assets in addition to the existing BitcoinCash.
D’CENT Wallet plans to support both cryptocurrency assets from the hard forks. The D’CENT team is constantly monitoring the status of the BitcoinCash(BCH) hard fork, and plans to announce the progress and support schedule according to the network stabilization after the hard fork. Deposits and withdrawals for BitcoinCash could be restricted depending on the progress of the hard fork.
BitcoinCash Hard Fork Background
This hard fork was caused by discrepancies among the BitcoinCash communities. The different opinion has led to a confrontation between the BitcoinABC camp and the rest of the members, leading to a hard fork. Due to the hard fork, the BitcoinABC node and other nodes (BCHN, Bitcoin Cash Unlimited) will be separated into the separate networks.
