D’CENT Wallet is now integrated with Arbitrum One, a next-generation L2 network designed for dApps scalability in the Ethereum network. The Arbitrum network is an ‘optimistic rollup’ that offers low fixed-gas costs per transaction batch and lower off-chain computation costs.
In order to use the Arbitrum One chain, users will first have to use the Arbitrum bridge to transfer ETH from the Ethereum network to a wallet that supports the Arbitrum One L2. The Aribitrum’s bridge protocol allows users to migrate any Ethereum network-based assets (ie: ETH, ERC20, ERC721, … etc.) over to the Arbitrum One network. Note that the transaction fees will be paid in ETH on the Arbitrum One network. More information on fees can be found here.
D’CENT Wallet users can manage the Arbitrum One network’s native currency ETH, and all other Arbitrum based tokens marked ‘ARBITRUM-ERC20’ from the Biometric wallet & App wallet.
The Arbitrum One is an EVM (Ethereum Virtual Machine) compatible blockchain network, which means various Arbitrum-based dApp services can be accessed from the Discovery Tab (dApp browser) in the D’CENT Wallet. Don’t forget to select the network setting to Arbitrum One in the dApp browser.
